ABOUT:
A retired superintendent engineer with a wealth of knowledge in disaster risk reduction (DRR) and post-disaster recovery is Mr. Maheswor Ghimire. In his subsequent role as National Project Director of the Rural Village Water Resources Management Project (RVWRMP), he oversaw the incorporation of DRR and Climate Change Adaptation (CCA) strategies into plans for sustainable development. Through contact teaching in the M.Sc. DREM (Disaster Risk Engineering & Management) program, Mr. Ghimire, a fervent supporter of resilience and capacity building, also makes scholarly contributions.
