NIAC signs MoU with Beijing Zhizhong.

NIAC and Beijing Zhizhong Technology Co. Ltd. have recently signed a MoU for mutual cooperation in arbitration. This cooperation among two arbitration centers in Nepal and China can be expected to play a vital role in the promotion of international commercial arbitration environment in this region.

Zhizhong is interested in promoting arbitration activities worldwide and has been willing to collaborate with NIAC for the said purpose. NIAC has been interested in Zhizhong’s work in the field of international arbitration and its vast network of arbitration institutions. NIAC also wanted to be a part of the Zhizhong’s network and be able to work together to expand International Commercial Arbitration. Now, with the signing of the cooperation MoU between NIAC and Zhizhong, they can work together and also provide each other a regional and international platform for international commercial arbitration purposes.

With the signing of the MoU between NIAC and Zhizhong, we expect to have our presence felt in the arbitration sphere of both the countries. With increased arbitration and mediation, we aim for the improvement of the world economic and trade activities in the region along with ensuring access to justice for those seeking accessible dispute resolution services.

NIAC wishes to develop Nepal as a leading hub for domestic as well as international dispute resolution. We have already expanded our outreach in the Asia Pacific region with association with Asia Pacific Center for Arbitration and Mediation (APCAM). Through the signing of this MoU with Beijing Zhizhong International, we are happy to have broadened our scope to East Asia as well.   

NIAC hopes our collaboration with these renowned institutions will assist our greater goal of providing accessible and credible dispute resolution through arbitration and mediation for all.

About the Signatories:

Nepal International ADR Center (NIAC) is an Arbitration and Mediation Center located at Kathmandu, Nepal. It has been actively working to promote arbitration and mediation as a dispute resolution mechanism in the region since its inception in 2013. It undertakes arbitration and mediation cases, publishes reports and journals, and conducts trainings and seminars, among other activities.

The team of NIAC is composed of former judges, senior advocates, lawyers, Chartered Accountants, Management Consultants, who have decades of experience in the fields of Arbitration, Mediation, Dispute Resolution and so on.
